Strong Women of late 19th & early 20th century literature

What is your favorite memoir? Angela's Ashes? Kitchen Confidential? Eat, Pray, Love? From the French mémoire or Latin memoria, memoirs can be defined as an account of one's personal life and experiences. What are some of the memoirs you have read and made an impression on you? Come prepared to share!

PLUS - Through a readers' advisory lens, we'll explore the "new women" of late 19th and early 20th century literature - nonconformist, rebellious figures who expressed dissatisfaction with traditional views of women in marriage and society. Come learn something new!
