Book Discussion: Leading with GRIT

Through her popular TED talk and book, Angela Lee Duckworth has driven home the importance of personal grit in order to be successful in life. Author Laurie Sudbrink has brought that concept into the leadership realm with her book: Leading with GRIT: Inspiring Actions and Accountability with Generosity, Respect, Integrity and Truth. Join us this month as we discuss Sudbrink’s book and how her concepts can help us transform our personal leadership styles and our libraries. As always, there will also be time to discuss any issues participants would like to bring up. Reading the book prior to the roundtable is encouraged; however, it is not required to attend the meeting.

The New Directors Roundtable is a forum to encourage discussion, professional development and support among those who are new or new-ish to the library director role, and anyone from out-of-state who has recently taken a library director position in Connecticut.
