Making a Successful Budget Pitch

For many library directors, winter brings not only snow and ice but the annual budget presentation. As a new director the first budget cycle can be intimidating. Join us this month as guest speaker Richard Conroy, Director of the Essex Library Association, gives us his tips and suggestion for preparing and presenting a successful budget. There will also be time to discuss topics of general interest to new directors, so please bring any issues you would like to share with the group.

The New Directors Roundtable is a forum to encourage discussion, professional development and support among those who are new or new-ish to the library director role, and anyone from out-of-state who has recently taken a library director position in Connecticut.

Please register using the link above.

Snow Policy:

In case of inclement weather, please use the following guideline (you may not receive an email):

  • If Canton Public Schools have a delayed opening, the meeting will proceed as scheduled.
  • If Canton Public Schools are closed, the meeting will be postponed/cancelled.
