Managing Change


As a new director you will come face-to-face with the need to make changes. Whether it is eliminating an outdated policy, introducing a new service, or restructuring the existing organization, change can be an exciting time of new opportunities. However, even if it is a welcome change, it often creates worry and stress for your staff. Join us this month as we learn why employees can be resistant to change and how to effectively manage them through the process.

The New Director’s Roundtable is a forum to encourage discussion, professional development and support among those who are new or new-ish to the library director role and to anyone from out-of-state who has recently taken a library director position in Connecticut.
