Medical Reference

Join us as we explore many facets of medical reference. We will have presentations from regional, state, and local libraries and organizations on:

• Public access to biomedical information, including resources and services

• State resources for the public as well as for librarians

• Building a core medical reference collection

• Conducting a program on reliable medical sources

We will also review guidance on medical reference from professional organizations, and discuss resources, challenges, and best practices at our libraries.

To make the meeting accessible to more librarians across the state, we will have two meetings, each of which will include the medical reference topics listed above. The other meeting will be held on Thursday, September 27 at the Noah Webster Library in West Hartford.

Join us for coffee and networking from 9:30 to 10. Our presentations and discussion will run from 10 am to 12 pm.

The Reference and Instruction Roundtable is open to anyone interested in adult reference and/or instruction at public, academic, or special libraries.
