Discounted Databases & Free Trials
CLC makes available of a variety of discounted databases to our public library, academic library, and school library members via partnerships with two organizations specializing in electronic resources.
PUBLIC AND ACADEMIC LIBRARIES
For our public and academic library members, CLC partners with WALDO, the Westchester Academic Library Directors Organization. Like CLC, WALDO is a not-for-profit multi-type library consortium - but unlike CLC, its primary mission is to support the procurement and administration of electronic information services for its members. CLC shares in WALDO's consortial contracts to receive deep discounts on databases. Public and academic member libraries procure databases directly from WALDO, with invoicing handled through CLC.See WALDO's current offerings for public and academic libraries (You will need to set up a username and password to obtain pricing and ordering information.)
For questions and orders, contact WALDO. Your WALDO Account Specialist is Joanne Montgomery, Senior Electronic Resources Specialist, 800.326.6495 x2 or joanne@waldolib.org.
