The CCALD/CLC Reciprocal Borrowing Program


CCALD Overview

The Council of Connecticut Academic Library Directors (CCALD) is a statewide consortium of academic library directors, working together to improve services and access to resources through cooperation.

Connecticut academic libraries enrolled in CCALD/CLC Reciprocal Borrowing Program have agreed to extend full borrowing privileges to faculty and staff of other participating institutions. Participants agree to all the terms in the Reciprocal Borrowing Agreement.

CLC became a partner in this project in 2003.

Resources

The following documents are provided as a convenience to libraries participating in the CCALD/CLC Reciprocal Borrowing Program. All documents are in PDF format. To open them, you will need a free PDF reader application, such as Adobe Reader.

  • Member Chart
    A list of participating libraries, along with contact person, loan periods, material types lent, overdue fines, lost book charges, overdue recall fines, and notes for each institution.
  • Participation Agreement
    Agreement to be signed by faculty and staff who have applied for reciprocal borrowing privileges.
  • Procedures
    Procedures for implementing the Reciprocal Borrowing Program, issuing cards, etc.
  • Cards
    Reproducible sheet of Reciprocal Library Borrowing Cards; 8 cards per sheet. For best results, copy on card stock.
