Let's make some noise for libraries!

save CT library funding graphicAs you know, CLC and other library programs are facing devastating cuts this legislative session. We need you to use your voice - and to help your patrons use theirs.

The next 2-3 weeks is the big push.

If you're ever going to do it - NOW IS THE TIME!

7 ways you can help CLC and your library now:

  1. CONTACT  your own legislators by letter, email, or phone. Don't wait for someone else!
» CONTACT YOUR LEGISLATOR THROUGH CLA'S CAPWIZ
      » GET TALKING POINTS (CLA)
» GET LETTER WRITING TIPS (CLC)

  2. KNOW what your library's CLC savings are. If you had to spend that much more for the same materials/services next year, what would you cut?
» CONTACT US for detailed savings figures, or
» GET YOUR TOTAL SAVINGS NOW

  3. INSERT the official CLA legislative bookmark in every item you check out and ILL.
      » DOWNLOAD THE BOOKMARK

  4. TALK to your board, Friends, stakeholders, and key community groups and encourage them to take action. (See links under #1)

  5. POST CLA's new flyer everywhere - at the circ desk, by the coffee maker, in the program room, and in any other noticeable location. Distribute it around your community as well.
» DOWNLOAD THE FLYER (blue background - best for web/social media)
» DOWNLOAD THE FLYER (white background - best for print)

  6. ATTEND the rally on Wednesday 4/15, 12-1pm, LOB Room 2A - and encourage patrons to attend as well.

  7. USE your website and all of your social media channels to get your message out. Include the hashtag #FundCTLibraries in all of your posts. Start by sharing this video!
