AWE is extending a group purchase discount to CLC members from July 14 through August 11, 2008. If the total number of purchases during the special is greater than 9 ELS units, each library or school receives a 5% discount; if the total number of ELS units purchased exceeds 24 units, then each library/school receives a 10% discount; and so on.

No matter what department you work in - frontline staff, manager, facilities - you'll be sure to take away tips from this all-day program.

- How to design/foster a safe library environment
- How to understand and recognize common mental health issues
- How to identify and distinguish between behaviors which are merely challenging, and those which may present a threat to library staff and library patrons
- Techniques to de-escalate a situation
- What to do in case of an emergency
