Audio Visual Librarians' Roundtable

Promotes professional development, communication, and cooperation among staff of CLC member libraries working in audio visual services. Open to staff of all CLC member libraries working or interested in Audio Visual services.

Business Services Roundtable

Mission: The Business Services Roundtable will provide an informal forum for all Connecticut librarians to share ideas, address issues and discuss current trends in library-based business services and programs.

  • Next meeting: Friday, May 23, 2008 at the Tolland Public Library. Signs & Smiles, based in Londonderry, NH, will present a 2 hour sign language workshop. Roundtable hours are 12:30-3:30; workshop will be held 1:00-3:00 PM. Signs & Smiles was founded with the mission of using American Sign Language to enhance communication for all children. Signs & Smiles will also bring some samples of materials they have for sale to libraries. Register online now!

This month's topic will be staff development and staff evaluations. Also, incoming roundtable chair Linda Senkus of Beardsley & Memorial will provide a library tour and share her experience with a recently completed outdoor renovation project that included drainage issues, parking lot resurfacing, handicapped access ramp installation and some changes that the fire marshall required.
