Lots in store for our second meeting!

Lunch, discussion of job duties & scheduling, Collaboratory tours


Library office administrators, bookkeepers, administrative assistants, etc. are often the only people who do what they do in their respective libraries. The goal of this new roundtable is to build a network of library administrative professionals to share challenges, best practices, etc. All library staff members who are responsible for office administration duties including scheduling, financials, liaison for vendors, record keeping, ordering, payroll, general go-to, etc. for all types of libraries are welcome.

 

Join us for our next meeting on Wednesday, May 10 at the Wallingford Public Library. Attend the entire meeting or any portion!

  • 12:00pm Pizza lunch - courtesy of our Wallingford hosts
  • 1:00pm Meeting - We will continue our discussion of job descriptions and duties and sharing of best practices. Please bring anything you would like to share in the way of policies, procedures and software. We will also talk about the various ways people are scheduling staff, and will plan future meetings.
  • 2:30pm Collaboratory tour - Get an up-close-and-personal look at Wallingford's new Collaboratory, a 2,400-square-foot maker space, digital media lab, and coworking space inside the library.
