All About Those Tweens!

Join your teen services colleagues from eastern Connecticut to talk all about those Tweens: books, programs, and more. Please bring your favorite tween books/program ideas to share.

A "tween" is defined as "youngster between 10 and 12 years of age, considered too old to be child and too young to be teenager." It may also be defined as the period from 9 to 14 years. Fun Fact: did you know that according to Wikipedia, "The term tween was previously used in J. R. R. Tolkien's 1954 novel The Lord of the Rings to refer to hobbits in their twenties: "tweens as hobbits called the irresponsible twenties between childhood and the coming of age at thirty-three."

NOTEThe Library is closed, so please knock on the door and someone will answer.
