Non-Print Bid Evaluation Team Meeting
Help CLC bring the best possible non-print discounts to all CLC members
- Is your library or school a CLC member?
- Do you have a passion for non-print media?
- Do you purchase digital or physical media like DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, video on demand, or streaming music for your library or school?
- Do you have your finger on the pulse of where library media collections are headed?
If so, we need your help!
CLC is looking for volunteers from academic, school, and public libraries to help us evaluate our upcoming non-print media bid. Our current contract for DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks expires at the end of the year. We are looking for experienced library staff who can help us evaluate vendors, services, and solutions for libraries and schools across Connecticut. This is a small commitment (2 meetings) with a big impact!
At our October meeting, your opinions and experiences will help shape the direction of our next three year statewide contract. We will discuss experiences with suppliers on the current CLC non-print media contract, brainstorm vendors we’d like to try to add to the contract, and discuss the changing market for media in libraries.
The second and final meeting will take place in December (in Middletown, date TBD by the group at the October meeting). At that time we will evaluate the bids that have come in, and award contracts.
