Planning a Genre Study ... PLUS, a Book Swap!
Some libraries are undertaking their own genre studies, and others are interested in having this roundtable begin one. At this meeting, we'll talk about the nitty-gritty of starting your own genre study at your library and what the value is of having one, as well as figure out when and how this roundtable can start one of its own! Bring your datebooks/Google calendars so we can talk scheduling.
Also at our December meeting: a book swap! Please bring a book to exchange with a fellow roundtable member. It need not be a new book - feel free to bring an ARC, used book, or recent discard - but it absolutely MUST be a book that you have personally read and enjoyed. Please wrap it in something (newspaper is fine!) so that we can all be surprised at the end of the meeting when we grab one, and tuck a business card or a note inside the cover so whoever gets your book knows who to contact when/if they enjoy it!
Please RSVP using the link above - no sign-in required. All are welcome.
Location/time notes: The meeting will be in the community room downstairs. The library opens at 9am if you want to come early.
In the event of inclement weather - you may not receive an email. Please use the following guideline:
- If the public schools in Greenwich are closed - the meeting is postponed to the snow date, December 21.
- If the public schools in Greenwich have a delayed opening - the meeting proceeds as scheduled.
