CLC wants to help you create stronger, easier-to-run roundtables and other meetings. To do this, CLC has partnered with Kim Crowley, Principal Consultant at Training & Development Support, to design a custom training specifically to address the challenges librarians (and especially roundtable chairs) face as meeting facilitators. This is valuable professional development you can use throughout your library career - not just for roundtables.

By the end of this interactive training, you will have gained knowledge and practice in meeting facilitation issues like:

  • how to be both a facilitator and participant
  • how to structure your meeting/roundtable to be most effective
  • tools for facilitation
  • how to handle difficult situations/participants
  • how to alter the meeting styles for different goals and objectives
  • ... and more!

You’ll have time to practice, and will be given tools for ongoing learning.

The training will be followed by a brainstorming/group discussion about roundtables where you can share your best practices, ideas, and concerns with CLC’s Executive Director Jennifer Keohane and your fellow roundtable chairs.

Space is limited to 20. This event is free, but registration is required, and is limited to roundtable chairs and attendees.

Please register using the link above, or email your name, library/school, and roundtable to clc@ctlibrarians.org.

Can't make it? We're offering this same training on September 10 from 1-4pm at the Fairfield Public Library. Learn more and register!
