CLC Roundtables

roundtable meetingCLC's roundtables are a wonderful opportunity for people from different libraries but with similar responsibilities and interests to come together to share knowledge and ideas about a variety of professional topics. The roundtables also serve the important role of funneling program ideas and "hot topics" to the Connecticut Library Association section chairs for development into CLA conference and section programs.

For more information about the programs below, or to suggest a roundtable topic, please contact the chair(s) of the roundtable that interests you.

For general roundtable questions and comments, or to suggest a new roundtable, contact CLC's Leah Farrell at lfarrell@ctlibrarians.org.

Interested in being a roundtable chair or co-chair? Worried about the time and effort involved? Relax! Leading roundtables is fun, simple, and a great opportunity to learn and network!

Roundtable chairs and co-chairs are responsible for:

  • Working with the group to plan meetings (including date, time, location, and topic)
  • Leading the meeting (as informally as you would like) and taking attendance - or finding someone to do so in your place
  • Sharing information about meetings and attendance with CLC

Remember, CLC is here to help! If you are having trouble finding a space, a speaker, a topic, or anything else, just let us know. If you are interested in starting a roundtable or becoming chair or co-chair of one that already exists, please contact Leah Farrell at lfarrell@ctlibrarians.org or 860.344.8777.
