CLC Board of Directors
Overview
CLC is governed by a 15-member Board of Directors comprised of staff from a broad range of CLC member library types, sizes, and geographic locations. CLC's bylaws state that, "the Nominating Committee shall make its best effort to assure that the composition of the Board of Directors is representative of the membership geographically and by type and size of institution. Nominees may be librarians who have demonstrated a commitment to the cooperative achievement of improved library services, or members of the community with a demonstrated interest and expertise in the business of CLC. The Nominating Committee also considers the qualifications of each nominee, taking into consideration the authority of the individual to commit library resources at the home institution, the depth and breadth of knowledge and experience, and record of professional contribution of the individual."
The CLC Board fulfills a leadership and policy role, which includes setting strategic, broad directions and annual goals, approving a budget, and passing on membership concerns to the CLC management.

Board Meeting Schedule
All staff of CLC member libraries are welcome to attend Board meetings. The Board typically meets on the fourth Thursday of each month from 2:00 to 4:00 at the Russell Library in Middletown. 2007-2008 meeting dates appear below; be sure to check the CLC Calendar for up-to-the-minute information.
