Got uncataloged items? DGI can help!
The Donohue Group, Inc. (DGI), a woman-owned Connecticut business that is owned, managed and staffed by professional librarians, has been providing professional cataloging and contract services to libraries, museums and archives since 1984. DGI is proud to serve CLC member libraries with high-quality cataloging solutions that fit your schedule and budget. Two programs are available to meet your needs:
NEW "Cataloging Triage" Service
An affordable option for cataloging a small backlog of specialty items.
Available ONLY to CLC member libraries - at great savings too!
Every library has that pile of un-cataloged items in the back room. No one on staff has the time to catalog these, or perhaps you don’t have anyone that can handle original cataloging. Wouldn’t it be great to make that pile disappear? Now you can - at an affordable rate, and right at your library!
For just $200 for a half-day, or $400 for a full day, DGI will come to your library and deliver fast, accurate, and complete original or copy cataloging for your pile of specialty un-cataloged items. By the day's (or half-day's) end, your items will be ready for final physical processing. This NEW service is currently available ONLY to CLC member libraries and schools at a savings of 16.7% off regular cataloging rates. LEARN MORE about Cataloging Triage.
Standard Cataloging Services
For special projects and ongoing cataloging needs
CLC member libraries save 5% off DGI's standard cataloging services.
DGI provides cataloging services on either a project or an on-going basis, tailoring records specifically to libraries’ needs. From core to full-level records, they supply exactly what you need for your catalog. They are experts at current international cataloging standards and RDA guidelines. DGI can work with items in-hand or from surrogates (shelf list cards, scans, photocopies, or metadata) at their office in Windsor. DGI offers cataloging for materials in a wide variety of formats as well as numerous foreign languages, and they are certified by the Library of Congress to submit names to the LC Name Authority file.
